Canción Exploder is the Spanish-language spin-off of Hrishikesh Hirway’s acclaimed podcast and Netflix series Song Exploder, produced by Adonde Media in collaboration with Radiotopia from PRX. Hosted by Adonde Media CEO Martina Castro—who also served as executive producer—the show was led by producer Martine Chaussard.

Laura Ubaté was a production assistant.

The eight-episode first season featured Jorge Drexler, Bomba Estéreo, Nathy Peluso, Silvana Estrada, José González, Adrián Quesada, iLe, Ibeyi, and Mon Laferte deconstructing their songs. The podcast premiered at Estación Podcast 2022 and On Air Los Angeles 2022. The Jorge Drexler episode received the Ondas Award for Best Podcast Episode of 2022.

As an Adonde Media Original, Canción Exploder experimented with innovative social media strategies, including a Listening Club and TikTok-style videos.

As part of the production team, Laura’s role consisted of pitching stories, researching the artists, prepping interview questions, and doing the first draft of every episode.

Additional tasks included supporting social media content and organizing the Listening Club.
